Left 4 Dead: Impulse 76 Fan Film (2011) Online

Folks, watch this short movie: it is a fan-made short-film based on the world of the famous action-shooter game Left 4 Dead.

It is amazing to see not only that this movie was made on a shoestring budget (it is not disclosed by the producer how much it actually was), but that it has been fully sponsored. You ask about the quality of the movie and its SFX? Watch it for yourself, it is definitely not B-type, it is really really close to full A-Blockbuster movie effects. Lightning, movie set and sounds are perfect. The viewer finds some cosplay characters towards the end of the movie that let you freeze for just a second thinking "...?", but then again the viewer realizes that he is in the action-shooter game world Left 4 Dead, in which cosplay characters certainly have their place - except for gamer-guys in their 16s, which discussion in the gaming community about this movie shows.

Judge for yourself, as fan adaption you can see this movie for free (yup, 0 Dollars) in the internet, google it and watch it, it is amazing to see what they did on a shoestring budget.

My vote: a solid 8 of 10.

Control pads ready.Great wee FAN film with a fun twist at the end. Gamers will be pleased and its only 10 mins. A brilliant 'wait a second isn't that???'moment. Plays like a high quality console advert once it hits its stride. The above review is a bit too scathing after all we are talking about a ZERO budget FAN movie and they have done a fantastic job. I can only wonder what they could achieve if they start a Kickstarter campaign using this to show prospective investors what to expect. Great Atmosphere, spot-on music, well acted and we'll executed. Arguably the best quality FAN short your likely to see. And at least it's not Street Fighter !!

"Left 4 Dead" is a 9-minute short film from 4 years ago and so far the last directorial effort by Adrian Picardi. I am not really too mad about this as I cannot see anything memorable here. The actors (don't know any of the cast) can't be blamed because the script simply does not offer them any possibilities to show us potential talent. It's the usual from all these uncountable mediocre zombie movies. Hot girls, badass guys, big guns, lots of shooting and predictable situations like the sitting girl who is, of course, a monster. Not a great short film by any means and I only recommend it to the biggest zombie film fans out there. It has nothing on "The Walking Dead" or so. Thumbs down.
