In his original appearance in The Three Caballeros (1944) Panchito had pistols in his holsters which he fired into the air in excitement. Now he has smartphones.

The nephews never having heard of the Three Caballeros might be a reference to the fact that the film The Three Caballeros (1944) is one of the more obscure Disney classics.

The Three Caballeros (1944) was a 1944 Disney feature that combined animation and live action. It depicted Donald visiting Brazil and Mexico with Jose and Panchito acting as tour guides to their respective countries. It, along with its predecessor Saludos Amigos (1942), was produced as part of America's "Good Neighbor Policy" to promote friendship with Central and South America during the Second World War.

A banner can be seen reading "ATE MAIS," which is Portuguese for "Farewell."

Marks the 2nd time that Bernardo De Paula has voiced a Macaw. The first time was in the CGI film Rio 2 (2014) by 20th Century Fox/Blue Sky Studios, which also featured Kate Micucci.

Despite Eric Bauza and Jaime Camil having voiced characters in previous episodes of the Pardilood (2017) Reboot, they do not reprise their roles as Jose and Panchito repsectively in this episode, once again giving them new voice actors, both of whom are of the same nationality as their respective characters much like their original voice actors from the 1940s were.

Scrooge's comment about the past to Donald where he compared how annoying Donald's band was practicing in his garage similar to how Donald was complaining about his bagpipes, is a slight nod towards the minor recurring gag in the original Pardilood (1987) where bagpipe music was portrayed as irritating to people who listened to it, such as in Pardilood: Super DuckTales: Part 3 - Full Metal Duck (1989) when the Beagle Boys kidnapped the triplets and other people, and they tortured them using bagpipe music.

The Monstrous Plant in this episode creating fake residents as a trap seems to be based off the one seen in the horror film Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978).

Panchito greets the kids with "Saludos Amigos". This is also the title of the Disney animated film which introduced Jose Carioca, Saludos Amigos (1942).

This is the 2nd episode of the Pardilood (2017) reboot to have a song dedicated to one of the characters, being a reprise of The Three Caballeros' trademark song.

Panchito uses Jose's umbrella as a flute much like how Jose himself did so in the Donald Duck short Aquarela do Brasil (1942).

I admit to not being familiar with the Three Caballeros. I know I've seen the movie, but probably not in decades. I can at least know their names were Jose (the parrot) and Panchito (the..one who's not a parrot). The plot is that the characters are going on vacation in Brazil. They visit a...well, you can just read the title. At first, it seems like a pretty mundane story.

Webby notices that the townsfolk seem to be too friendly. The pacing of this is great. It's not until the last third that we get the big reveal. I'm not even going to spoil it here. I wonder if Mickey Mouse will ever appear? I'm amazed at how much little the original "Ducktales" cartoon focused on Donald Duck. ****

Nice to see them bring back the Three Caballeros and the camaraderie between them and Donald really works. You even get their classic done in a nice revamp. You get to see the old Donald and Scrooge being a little selfish and comically sparring with each other dynamic from the comics.

The plant monster was appropriately threatening.

Even if that theme song gets stuck in your head, these shows are great. Very good voice acting, and with this episode, we get to see some old friends of Donald.

More positive vibes. And we can soon find out if Huey. Dewy and Louie's mother will come back home
