Ministry is the main music act of Al Jourgensen. Ministry start as a synth-pop band in the early 80's then gradually moved into industrial rock and metal. The "Tapes of Wrath" DVD covers the Sire/Warner period from 1985 to 1999. The first video "Over The Shoulder" is from the "Twitch" album. It's a weird video involving eggs, bolts and nuts! "Stigmata" and "Flashback" are from "The Land of Rape and Honey" 1988 album and "Burning Inside" from the 1989 "The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste" album. The live version of "The Land of Rape & Honey" is from the famous "In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up" Tour with Ogre [from Skinny Puppy] and Jello Biafra [from Dead Kennedys]. One of the best videos on the DVD is "Jesus Built My Hotrod" with guest vocalist Gibby Haynes [from Butthole Surfers]. It's followed by the two other singles of the 1992 album "Psalm 69": "N.W.O." and "Just One Fix" [with William Burroughs]. "Tapes of Wrath" also featured the 1996 cover of Bob Dylan's "Lay Lady Lay", "Reload" and "Bad Blood" [1999]. Additionally, the DVD includes two videos from Jourgensen' side-project The Revolting Cocks: "Crackin' Up" and "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?" [cover of Rod Stewart]. Some videos are directed by famous Peter Christopherson. Note that the DVD does not include the videos for "Revenge", "What About Us?" [both Ministry] and "Stainless Steel Providers" [by Revco].

This is a great, comprehensive video collection for Ministry. Thin includes everything from new-wave Ministry through their last videos. This also includes two Revolting Cocks videos, one of which is the cover of the Rod Stewart song "If You Think I'm Sexy." One of the most disturbing-campy videos that I've ever seen.

There are no extras or frills, but the collection is more than enough.
