Pokemon fushigi no danjon: Toki no tankentai (2007) Online

Why exactly is this game so great? First, the story is amazing. Without spoiling it, this game gets all the story elements right. We got great memorable characters, a vast setting and writing that for the most is pretty funny, but does get to some rather sad moments. But the game play is also fantastic. It takes things like the type chart, berries, and TMs from the main series games as well as all 493 Pokémon from gen 4 ( Diamond, Pearl, Platnum, Heart Gold, and Soul Silver) and all of the moves completely redesigned for a new format. You will be amazed at the depth and complexity of the dungeon-crawling game play. The only minor gripe I have is that the graphics don't really take advantage of the DS hardware. But if you can look past it, you will have easily one of the greatest DS games, and one of the best Pokémon games for that matter. You must play it, even if you have to go looking for a copy a bit.
