An apparent army detail rides into town to protect it against Court Martial. Though Marshal Scott is left in the dark, Clay Culhane soon discovers that this is anything BUT a normal court martial. The men are actually army deserters who are there to plunder the town.

At first, the episode looks okay. An army detail come in and declare Court Martial because a group of outlaws are riding that way. However, it becomes apparent that this is anything but normal! The men are actually deserters and come to various towns to plunder. Unfortunately, the men get caught by Clay. The results are disastrous! Nora loses someone very precious to her and before all is said and done, the entire town is like a ghost town.

Dick Sargent is in this episode. He is best known (at least to me) as the second Darren in Bewitched. At the end of this episode, we view kisses - finally after a whole season of waiting...

Many died in this episode. I can't put a number. Unfortunately, there were several good men that would be buried...
