Nathan tries to help a struggling coffee shop by rebranding it as a Starbucks using parody law. To do this, he had to establish himself as a parody artist by creating song parodies and setting up a parody art gallery. Since he was left to do all of the work, he cut ties with the coffee shop and went off on his own to create the first Dumb Starbucks.

Nathan rented a space and began construction on the coffee shop. He hired two employees and opened Dumb Starbucks to the public. Their first day was disappointing, as he went to a nearby Starbucks to try and lure customers to his shop. The next day, Dumb Starbucks became a worldwide phenomenon as hundreds of people waited in line for their dumb coffee.

Nathan announced another Dumb Starbucks would be opening in New York. Dumb Starbucks merchandise became popular and Nathan appeared on late night shows. Dumb Starbucks was technically an art gallery. It wasn't long until the health department shutdown the business due to not having proper permits. He tried to get help from the coffee shop he gave up on but he wanted nothing to do with him. Ultimately, Nathan decides to shutdown Dumb Starbucks for good.

"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain." This quote fits with the episode as Nathan abandons the coffee shop he's trying to help, taking away their customers and eventually putting them out of business.
