Jon & Kate are re-carpeting the house to get rid of the ugly "green grass" carpet and replace it with a neutral beige. They want to increase the home's resale value when they eventually put it up for sale as they are outgrowing the house.

They will do one room at the time, so they can remove all the furniture to another area of the house. Kate is very stressed out over the upcoming mess and chaos as it will disrupt her and the kids routine. Who can blame her there! On the 1st day of the re-carpeting, Jon is left to move all the heavy furniture himself and deal with the kids while Kate goes to get her hair done. What was she thinking?! Most of the episode is about moving stuff, trying to keep the kids occupied and so forth. Not one of the more interesting episodes.

Towards the end, they go looking for new property for the next, bigger house.

One thing I noticed is Kate is very annoyed in the interview chair or else had a headache as she kept massaging her temples. At one point during the show, she announced "the older men get, the grouchier they get", referring to Jon. If that's not the pot calling the kettle black! Overall the kids did very well with the chaos! (maybe not so much Kate!)
