Just thinking about playing "Shinobi" for the ancient Sega Master System-console almost makes me cry. "Shinobi" is for me one of my finest gaming-experiences ever, about one of the coolest things ever: ninjas!! I have always enjoyed playing games with ninjas, and ninja movies(particularly ninja-animes like "Ninja Scroll") "Shinobi" has had many sequels since the original was released over 15 years ago, but none have been even close of intimidating the original`s gameplay, style, atmosphere and fun.

I remember playing this game in the arcades back in the '80s. This game gave me that magical feeling with its simple, yet engaging game-play, great graphics and a great soundtrack. I even had the game on the ancient Sega Master System but nothing beats the original.....not by a long shot.

Today's games got bells and whistles and whatnot, but some of them just don't have that sense of fun that the old games have. Thankfully, with emulation technology, reliving the golden days of gaming is now possible with compilations of the best side-scrolling games being released on PS2, X-Box 360, PS3, Nintendo Wii, and of course PSP. But Shinobi is and will always be my most ABSOLUTE favorite!!! All the Shinobi games are great, except Cyber Shinobi, which was a a$$ compared to the others but I can't understand why they didn't put the Japanese-only Sega Saturn Shinobi Legions out? I really hope and pray someone puts all the Shinobi games (including Shinobi Legions) on one disk for the new systems. That would be fan's dream come true.

Long Live Shinobi. Greatest of all time!!!
