'The Whistle-Blower' is a thriller with mind-bending twists and an interesting plot. It is written by Patrick Harbinson (writer and producer of ER) and has shining performances from Amanda Burton, Neil Pearson and Bill Paterson as well as the rest of the cast. They are all fabulous! Skillfully scripted scenes combined with great acting keep the audience guessing throughout and the drama culminates in an unexpected ending.

I would give 'The Whistle-Blower' 9 out of 10.

I find it hard to believe that this has never had a commercial release, chucked a load of VHS tapes out and discovered this, re-watching it I find it hard to believe that this was transmitted way back in 2001. The computer screens give away the age of it, but otherwise it has a very modern feel to it. Amanda Burton is absolutely first rate in this drama, Bill Patterson never fails to put in a great performance, and it's the same here. I miss this kind of high quality one of drama, both ITV and BBC1 seemed to produce constantly back around 2000-2005. The story is a very good one, with plenty of twists and turns to keep the viewer happy.

A clever, complex plot very well written and brilliantly acted by Amanda Burton, Neil Pearson and Bill Paterson. A first rate drama which held interest until the very end. Highly recommended, I give it 9/10.
