Another misadventure by the so-called "History" channel that pretends to present itself as a balanced review of a controversial subject but is really, in fact, closer to propaganda. Several "experts" on the Con side of the issue and a single on the Pro with the Con folks repeatedly referring to spent fuel as "fissionable material" which it is not. They also make frequent use of the absolutely least likely scenarios happening in movement as a reason to oppose shipment while ignoring the more likely hazards from NOT moving it. If a 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% probability of something bad happening during shipment is reason to not ship, then shouldn't a 0.000000000001% probability of something bad happening if it's left stored above ground at it's current location make it advisable to move it? One "Con" expert also stated that it was safer left at the plant site because they were located in "remote areas", but many nuclear plants in the US are near cities and some are near fault lines making them far more vulnerable than the chosen "geologically stable" proposed storage facility in Nevada. They keep harping on the risk of shipping it through Las Vegas but never mention any possibility of a rail line to bypass that city.
